Married Life!!!

Proverbs 18:22
"He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD."

On January 9th, 2010, I married the most wonderful wife I could ever ask for! I am very happy to now be married to my wonderful wife Molly! We have started a new Bloom branch of the family here in Kansas City. Our apartment is decorated and unpacked and we landed our first washer and dryer just last week!!! Already I can tell that the best days of my life are just getting started. Check out my flickr page to see more pictures of the wedding if you haven't seen them already on facebook! Thank you so much for celebrating this amazing day with us and supporting the start of our new family!!!

Molly fills our apartment with the smell of amazing food and great decorations and we enjoy every moment we get together! : )

My Trip To Washington DC

On December 14th, I had the esteemed privilage of taking a tour through the Whitehouse in Washington DC. My family and I flew out on the 13th to tour around the city and enjoy the monuments and then took the tour early Monday morning. Our trip through the Whitehouse really was an amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will always remember. Together with my father and brother, Luke, I prayed in every room that we toured. You can view several pictures that we took of the tour on my flickr page.

Seeing the heritage of our nation, I felt it was important to remember our Christian roots. Lincoln's 2nd Inaugral Address is inscribed on the walls of the Lincoln Memorial. Here is a brief except of his address during the Civil War.

"If we shall suppose that American Slavery is one of those offences which, in the providence of God, must needs come, but which, having continued through His appointed time, He now wills to remove, and that He gives to both North and South, this terrible war, as the woe due to those by whom the offence came, shall we discern therein any departure from those divine attributes which the believers in a Living God always ascribe to Him? Fondly do we hope--fervently do we pray--that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away. Yet, if God wills that it continue, until all the wealth piled by the bond-man's two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash, shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said 'the judgments of the Lord, are true and righteous altogether' "
- Abraham Lincoln

Praise God for a president with this understanding during the days of slavery, and pray that we would have a president with this understanding in these days of abortion.
